# Nebulai

> Engineering intelligence that runs in infrastructure the customer owns. Nebulai
> indexes a team's repositories and answers questions about them with citations. The
> software runs on the customer's own machine or cloud subscription; source code,
> questions and answers never reach Nebulai.

Two things an installation cannot do for itself:

1. **Entitlement.** A Nebulai account and organisation are not enough. Seats must be
   recorded against the organisation by Nebulai before `nebulai install` will run.
2. **Azure access.** The installer acts through the operator's own `az` session.
   Nebulai never receives a cloud credential, so no command run here can obtain one.
